DAMPAK PENYULUHAN TENTANG PERGAULAN BEBAS TERHADAP PERUBAHAN SIKAP REMAJA DI SEKOLAH MENEGAH ATAS NEGERI 1 LINGSAR KABUPATEN LOMBOK BARAT

Adolescent involvement in unrestricted social interaction has become an increasingly complex social issue. Adolescents, as a vulnerable age group, often face various risks that may lead to harmful behaviors. In the modern era, numerous cases of juvenile delinquency have been identified. This study aims to determine and analyze the impact of counseling on risky social behavior on changes in adolescent attitudes at SMA Neger 1 Lingsar, West Lombok Regency.
This research employed a quantitative method using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test-post-test model. The sample consisted of 90 respondents selected through total sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire to assess the impact of counseling on adolescent attitudes toward free social interaction. Data analysis was performed using a paired sample t-test.
The results showed that counseling had a positive impact on improving students' understanding of free social interaction. Before the intervention, 85 respondents (94.4%) demonstrated good quality of social interaction. After the counseling session, 89 respondents (98.9%) showed improved decision-making abilities in the good category. In terms of attitude change, 86 respondents (95.6%) were categorized as having good social behavior prior to the counseling, and this number increased to 89 respondents (98.9%) post-intervention, indicating a statistically significant change with a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05).
The study concluded that counseling had a significant effect on adolescent attitude change. It is recommended that similar counseling programs be implemented within school settings using interactive methods such as group discussions and educational media to enhance student comprehension.
